Hawaii Interisland Flights
Hawaiian Airlines' fleet of modern Boeing B-717 jets operates over 100 daily Interisland flights among five Hawaii airports on four Hawaiian Islands. We also offer code-share options to three smaller commuter airports.
Whether you’re leaving Las Vegas to vacation in Lahaina, off to Honolulu from Haiku for a day of business or kicking back on Kauai for the weekend, Hawaiian Airlines puts neighbor island flights at your fingertips.
Interisland Service Through Oahu
Here’s how it works. Hawaiian Airlines operates Hawaii island flights from all of its scheduled U.S. Mainland gateways into and out of Honolulu International Airport's (HNL) Main Terminal gates 24 - 34. Select cities also operate nonstop service to neighbor island airports on a regular or seasonal schedule (download current flight schedule for details).
Hawaii Interisland flights from and to Kahului on Maui, Lihue on Kauai, and both Kona and Hilo on the Big Island depart and return to HNL’s gates 56 - 64 at the adjacent Interisland Terminal.
Code-share service aboard Dash 8 aircraft is available from and to Molokai, Lanai and Kapalua Airport on Maui from HNL’s Commuter Terminal.
The Wiki-Wiki Express is a complimentary shuttle connecting the terminal buildings. Or, if you wish to stretch your legs, the Interisland Terminal is a 10-15 minute walk from the Main Terminal. Tack on an extra 5-10 minutes to walk to the Commuter Terminal.

Hawaiian History
Hawaiian Airlines has come a long way over the last 75-plus years. On November 11, 1929, Hawaii Territorial Governor Lawrence M. Judd stood at the hangar at John Rodgers Airport for the inauguration of InterIsland Airways first scheduled flight between Honolulu and the neighbor islands. Judd’s daughter, Betty, christened two new Sikorsky S-38 amphibians to operate the company’s modest schedule, with the first flight heading from Honolulu to Hilo.
Ours is a long history with deep roots and an exciting future for our employees and our customers. Today, Hawaiian Airlines operates daily U.S. Mainland service to the Hawaiian Islands from nine gateways. Hawaii island flights service five airports on four islands, with code-share service provided to three additional neighbor island commuter airports. It’s an easy way to fly!
